My name is Marianne, it is my real name, the only one I wanted to keep for life because it reminds me of a country I love and a person I've never known. She left Brussels three years before the Second World War to save her own skin. Marianne Loeble loved to live, just like me.
I was born in Brussels where I did a master's degree in philosophy and literature to teach languages. I also lived part of my life in Flanders, on the coast swept by the North Sea winds.
